After many discussions with friends relating the abundance of photographs we have of ourselves compared to those of our parents and grandparents at our age; it had me thinking - with limited photographs to connect together to form some sort of an idea of who these family members were, there is so much to imagine from them! Did my grandmother sneak cigarettes behind her parent's tool shed with her friends? Did my mother like to have moments of solitude? Did they experiment with substances, and were they outgoing, the centre of their friend circles? Today, it it far too easy to assume what someone is like from the hundreds, if not thousands of photos of them on their Facebook pages.
